An activated carbon filter with a very high adsorption
capacity for pollutants. Extremely useful in removing chlorine and its
derivatives, as well as organic compounds, it reduces organic substances that
contribute to the unpleasant taste and odor of water. Its advantage is the low
pressure drop of the water flowing through it.
The Aquafilter FCCBL20BB-G series contain a special,
activated carbon with a high adsorption capacity for chlorine and other
volatile organic substances found in water. They are particularly recommended
for whole-house water treatment. The carbon has a significantly larger specific
surface area and a number of chemically active sites, resulting in
approximately 25% higher efficiency compared to granular carbon. This type of
carbon cannot filter mechanically contaminated water, as this causes clogging
of the activated carbon sites and a reduction in their filtration efficiency.
Therefore, water treatment with carbon filters should be preceded by mechanical
filtration (preferably >= 20 mic). However, they are very suitable for
removing chlorine from water containing colloidal and organic substances.
Features:
-Removal of chlorine and its derivatives
-Removal of organic pollutants
-Improvement of water oxidizability
-Improvement of water taste, color and odor
-Reduction of soluble organic compounds (SOC)
-Reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOC)
